This Paediatric Physiotherapist position is ideal for a Physiotherapist with 5 years of Paediatric Physiotherapy experience, looking for more flexibility in their week so that they can be there with their young family or be able to participate in further academic research work while still keeping a hand in clinical caseload. It can be tailored to suit your personal interests and needs while providing world class Paediatric Physiotherapy services to our young clients to help them achieve their best potential. There are opportunities for mentoring younger team members while still being able to attend professional development courses and self improvement in leadership skills.

Graduate Physiotherapist

Role description
This New Graduate Physiotherapist position is ideal for new and recent graduate Physiotherapists without any Paediatric Physiotherapy experience, looking for mentorship and professional development to become the Expert Paediatric Physiotherapist that they have been dreaming to be. This position is for full time work, which may include Saturdays depending on the roster. No more feeling overwhelmed, frustrated or inadequate trying to figure out how to treat your clients appropriately. Instead get ready to step into a position where you are valued, respected and supported to become the best version of you.
The New Graduate Physiotherapist Mentoring Program is custom tailored taking into consideration the individual learning styles of each Physiotherapist. This program allows a new graduate to evolve into an Expert Paediatric Physiotherapist over a 5 year period.

Every new team member will go through a 6 week training course to make sure you are fully confident in your role. You will get access to mentoring from an Expert Physiotherapist with over 20 years of clinical experience to help you improve not just your clinical reasoning, but also your personal leadership skills and communications skills. We run a peak performance environment with daily, weekly, 6 weekly and quarterly support to make sure you reach your goals.

Having employed and trained many new graduate and recent graduate physiotherapists to become Expert Paediatric Physiotherapists, each with a focused area of expertise, we have mastered and fine tuned our Mentorship Program over the past 10 years to provide the right amount of knowledge and skills at the right time, paced to suit each individual’s learning style and interests. The Sydney Kids Physio Mentorship Program is second to none, with the frequency of Professional Development provided each week, the width and breadth of knowledge and skills covered and the speed at which support is provided to ensure that you always feel in control and never overwhelmed.
The New Graduate Mentorship Program includes 2 streams of learning, Professional Clinical Skills Development and Personal Leadership Skills Development. The learning goals for Professional Clinical Skills Development are set at every 6 weeks to ensure that you progress toward mastery of the various areas of Paediatric Physiotherapy, ranging from clinical hands on practicals of administering Assessment tools like AIMS, BOT2, NSMDA to Serial Casting, application Radial Shockwave Therapy, Low Intensity Pulsed Ultrasound to Functional Electrical Stimulation. While the learning goals for Personal Leadership Skills Development are set to match your personal strengths and weaknesses, to improve communication skills, confidence and mindset.

Neesha Gan is a graduate and alumni of the University Of Sydney School of Physiotherapy since 1999. Having been on the receiving end of clinical placements as a student, she understands more than most the value of having an inspirational mentor to help a fresh faced undergraduate embark on a journey of a life changing career as a Paediatric Physiotherapist
