About us
Good foundations for bright futures.
Our team has a wealth of experience assessing and managing Paediatric Neurodevelopmental conditions such as Cerebral Palsy, to managing Musculoskeletal conditions and Sports injuries, to treating and managing Respiratory conditions like Asthma and proactive management of Orthopaedic conditions like Developmental Dysplasia Of The Hips.
We particularly specialise in helping children with special needs and their families to build good foundations and defy the odds that medical teams predict. We strive to help little ones to achieve their best potential and build a bright future.
A supportive team environment built on connection and shared goals.
Forget the traditional production line Private Practice culture. We left that behind years ago for a reason, and have created something entirely different. At Sydney Kids Physio, we’re all family and here to support each other however we can.

Neesha set out to create a Physiotherapy Practice with a difference. And so Sydney Kids Physio was established.
Since day one Sydney Kids Physio has been making a difference in the lives of many children and their families, helping each child learn to move better so that they live life to their full potential.
September 2006
to April 2016
Established My Favourite Physio September 2006 to April 2016
That’s right, Sydney Kids Physio used to be called My Favourite Physio.
After working for 7 years around the world, including Singapore, United Kingdom and Sydney, Neesha founded My Favourite Physio in 2006. The vision was to “save the children” in the Bankstown LGA because while working at Liverpool Hospital, Sydney Australia, Neesha realised that there was a lack of Paediatric Physiotherapy services for families in the Bankstown LGA. Particularly children with Special Needs were left without any Early Intervention services to help improve their outcomes and physical mobility. Starting as a sole practitioner operating out of a clinic room within the Excel Medical Centre in Chester Hill, Neesha provided Private Physiotherapy Services across the lifespan for babies, toddlers, adolescents, adults and older adults. The practice then also provided Home visits, Childcare centre visits as well as School visits. My Favourite Physio was well established in Chester Hill for 11 years.
April 2016
to April 2024
Relocation To Bankstown
In April 2016, My Favourite Physio was relocated to 44 Kitchener Parade, Bankstown, expanding into a free standing red brick house with 6 clinical rooms, specifically fitted and designed to allow for innovative Rehabilitation and Early Intervention Physiotherapy services. Neesha mentored and led a team of passionate Physiotherapists, along with our dedicated Practice Manager Amy, was able to continue to serve a greater number of families and individuals within the Bankstown LGA. Neesha and her team continued to undertake ongoing professional development to be able to provide Specialist services, such as Schroth Exercises for Scoliosis, Watson’s Approach To Headaches and Migraines Treatments, Harnessed Treadmill Gait Retraining, Radial Shockwave Therapy, High Flow Humidified Air, Mobility and Special Needs Equipment Prescription and Loan Pool.
April 2024
to Present
Changed our name to Sydney Kids Physio to better reflect our focus.
With the increasing demands and need for effective Early Intervention Paediatric Physiotherapy services for the Paediatric population and particularly children with Special Needs, My Favourite Physio was evolving. Neesha and her team of Paediatric Physiotherapists were well known in the Paediatric Healthcare Community as the team who were able to help children with Special Needs to “defy the odds” and achieve their best potential. After over 17 years serving the community, as My Favourite Physio, we now embark on a new journey as Sydney Kids Physio. The same Great Team, the same Core Values and Mission, to leave a legacy by building great foundations for bright futures in the lives of children and families we meet.
Our plans for the future
Our aim is to be the leading Paediatric Physiotherapy Clinic in the world in the next 5 years, helping children and families across continents achieve their full potential regardless of their individual physical impairments or conditions.
We plan to expand our reach through innovative care models, integrating the latest evidence-based practices with our deep commitment to compassionate, personalised therapy. By fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth, we’ll adapt to the evolving needs of our communities, ensuring every child can access the support they need to thrive.
Investing in technology and collaboration, we envision a future where our expertise and resources can be shared globally, breaking down geographical and financial barriers to care. We’re dedicated to developing partnerships and platforms that facilitate not only top-tier treatment but also education and support for families and healthcare professionals worldwide. Our core values of teamwork, respect, and excellence will guide us as we build a network of care that uplifts and empowers the lives we touch.
Through our mission, we aim to inspire a movement towards more inclusive healthcare, advocating for the rights and needs of children with complex needs. By embodying our values in every action and decision, we’ll pave the way for a future where every child is given the opportunity to lead a fulfilling life, surrounded by a community that cherishes their unique abilities and potential.
Join the team
As we embark on this ambitious journey, we’re looking for passionate individuals who share our vision for a world where every child can reach their full potential. If you’re driven by compassion, innovation, and a commitment to excellence, consider joining our team. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of children and families around the globe, one step at a time.
